Hi, sorry i am a complete noob when it comes to this but i normallly muddle my way through stuff.
I simply want to make a website and host it free.
I have made an account with x10 and have directed my domain nameservers to the x10 webservers but my luck has now ended and im goung round in circles achieving nothing.

I beleive i need to load wordpress onto the hosting in order to make a website?

I put wordpress into the serach bar and find a link to upload wordpress but when i click on it a box comes up sayig its been disabled and to contact the administrator.

I do not know what im doing wrong or what to do from here.

I opened the account under my name, the domain is mine, the email is mine, its my details on the hosting.

Pleas, any help is apprechiated but remember im a noob.
Thank you for reading.

It seems the service is experiencing issues at this moment on x13. Do you know what server you are on?

you are on x14 servers which seem to be working.
its x13 that currently has issues.

you do not have to use wordpress but many do..
i suppose it depends on your knowledge about website building.
primarily what you do for a website is in the public_html folder.
thats the main directory you need to work in.

Ok thankyou for all your help. I found a differnt button that once pressed it gave me options to upload wordpress.

My next issue is ive chosen a template and loaded it up, ive moved it to the public directory but can not see any way of using a site builder type feature or edit the template.

Going to the domain just brings up a screen that has an x10 logo and says i need to upload it to the public directory which i beleive i have, it shows the folder there in the file manager.

Ok, im sorry, i know im a mess lol.
Ive made a website using site pad, ive moved it to the public_html folder but when i go to the web address it still shows the holding page telling me to move the website to the public_html folder, what am i missing?

If i put /sp on the end of the domain i get the site but how do i get rid of that?

Thank you so much for your patience.

The /sp is what was added when you elected to install the software. You can remove the install and when you re-install sitepad make sure to remove the adding /sp it includes inside the "domain" url for the install itself.
