I am using vb 2008 express and completed my website. I then uploaded the website to Public_html. Going to http://oxsystems.pcriot.com/ I get the following message:
"Server Error in '/' Application
The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /Default.aspx"

Since this website works correctly in the vb 2008 express environment, is there some editing that is needed to match your environment in the Default.aspx page? Does it need to be renamed for your environment?

Thanks,
Danny Oxford

Since the X10 servers run Linux+Apache, they must use Mono to support ASP.Net. The server found Default.aspx, otherwise you would have gotten a 404 error from Apache rather than Mono.

Your web.config probably contains a reference to a component that isn't a part of Mono. Depending on what it is, you might be able to install an alternative. Alternatively, you might need to alter your web.config to resolve the error. If you post your web.config (after censoring all sensitive information), I might be able to figure out more, but (then again) I might not.
