why wont my page load when I visit my url? it just says cgi_bin and my html and css file names.

The page that you want to open automatically must be called index.html, index.htm or index.php. (There are ways to force other pages to open via an .htaccess file, but that's more trouble than it's worth and can be fragile. Just rename your home page, and remember that Unix-type file systems are case-sensitive, so "Index.html" won't work.)
