What Banner Color?

Here is what I think:

1) The red is a bit too strong, making everything around it look weaker. Maybe you should tune down the saturation for the reds.

2) Most webdesigners only use 2 to four colors for template design. Try to think of the colors that match your site.

3) If you have green, blue, orange, or black pictures in the layout, try using one of those colors for the surrounding interface/layout

Maybe this will help. :happysad:

My recommendation would be to have a light grey or white for a substitute of the red and then stylize the background with some abstract or a background of something related to your website.

it's not for my site it's just a template to sell or something.

i say the red is a bit stand out might need to be a little darker. And a bit stronger. When i looked at it, it looked slightly pale.

Background should be dependant on the base colour of the site.. i mean if you have a dark blue back ground on the banner and a white or grey base colour for the rest of the site then it really doesn't work to well..

I agree about the red being to strong as well.. try fading it a bit. second one is much better, the trasperancy may look a little funny if you have a dark background tho..

just my two pence..
