What does all the default catalogues do?

Hi all!

I've just set up my first x10 account, and I'm curious about the functionality of all the default folders and files:

_private
_vti_bin
_vti_cn_vti_log
_vti_pvt
_vti_txt
cgi-bin
images

_vti_inf.html
postinfo.html

What do they do?
I'm about to emigrate my Joomla-site here, and for example: Joomla also wants a images-folder. Will there be any conflicts?

Don't delete
_private
_vti_bin
_vti_cn_vti_log
_vti_pvt
_vti_txt
cgi-bin
vti_inf.html

The rest of the stuff you can delete.
