What is my MySQL host address??("localhoat" doesn't work)

I am installing xoops and it needs the mySQL address,
this is my second xoops so I know how to set the database.
but when I enter mySQL addreee: mysql.[mysubdomain].x10hosting.com
the installation fails to connect my database,
I am sure that the user name, pwd, db name are correct,
of course I assigned the username to db and gave it all permissions.

and "localhost" doesn't work, please help me, thanks a lot!!

use "mysql.x10hosting.com" instead of localhost .

I want to emphsis that I did try "mysql.x10hosting.com" and it wasn't working, however, it works now, thanks a lot!!
