I have tried opera, firefox and IE. i also made my own which is kind of cheating... Opera is still the best because of the 'speed dial' thingy which i find really useful

I prefer Firefox over the rest, simply because of how customizable it is. You can do a lot of different things with the add-ons.

I use Opera. I love the built in email client. Firefox is also nice, but I think Opera is much better. I think the only reason is the speed dial and built in email client and newsfeed reader.

as long as its not a Microsoft product you can't go wrong...
Lol! qft!

I use firefox. The addons that I use just make it so that if I use a different broswer that doesn't have those extensions, it irritates me.

I second that. IE7 = world's biggest memory-hog-of-a-browser. FireFox is starting to go that way a little with each update, but it's still better overall than Opera.

Actually with the same number of tabs and same content, IE7 takes slightly less than firefox. If only ie7 had better alpha PNG support, I'd go for it. Right now on pages with a lot of transparency, ie7 slows down to a crawl.

I am amazed that Microsoft, with all that money and developers comes up with crap like IE7, and that they still support IE compatible parameters only.
Also note that many ppl went back to IE6 after testing IE7 LOLOLOL
Firefox is the best today, but I am eagerly awaiting the new Opera release which will be the only browser with full CSS3 support, except Mac browsers ;)

Firefox. IE is good, but it still seems to be a bit more exploitable to me. IE7 is a good improvement though.

Firefox beats all the other browsers by a long way!

I don't like firefox because it blocks EVERYTHING.:lockd: and you cant make twirly mouse cursors using javascript in firefox, but you can in IE and opera.;) Is this because of javascript and jscript differences or does it just block it? :dunno:

Opera and Firefox lead.

I've used every browser for a long period of time.

Firefox does everything well, however Opera is faster and has more features- but I find that the features in Opera are not as "complete" as Firefox-

take SpeedDial for example- one of the best things in Opera- there is no simple way of setting it as your homepage, you have to add this, change this, etc, before you can do it- and how hard can setting the search bar in your Speed Dial be? fcking complicated for Opera!

The features firefox has are complete and useful, Opera has better stuff, but doesn't do it as well- so they both kind of even it out. Firefox is more expandable and customisable than Opera, but Opera is faster.

They are both similar- but the only reason I use Opera is for the inbuilt IRC- I know firefox has chatzilla, but its a separate app nearly- IRC in opera is just a tab.

Finishing of with IE... it sucks.

Badly :)

I made testing. I launched three of them at once with the same links. Opera is always the fastest. Not only with pages, but file downloading and integrated bitorrent is very fast. Firefox takes the second place in speed. Opera may not open some pages. IE7 is the most compatible, but it is most vulnerable to trojans because they are made for IE mainly.

Firefox is better than IE (I have never tried Opera). I like it mostly because it is more customizable with both the addons and the about:config menu...and because of the themes, and the layout of the bookmarks, and the security. Everyone says that the other browsers like Opera and IE allow for different javascript things, but at what cost? Probably, Firefox blocks those things because sites have used such scripts to exploit security flaws in IE and Opera! Firefox also constantly updates every time it gets a new security patch, unlike IE 7, which...obviously....only updated 7 times.

I hate it how everyone embraced FF when it came out. It's an over-rated piece of worthless junk, much like the iPod and iTunes. Oh my god, I just made the sweeping statement of the century.

I think Firefox's interface, while skinnable, is quite ugly by default. "It's more secure! Get firefox!" IE7 has saved me and my family a damn-slight more from Phishing sites, hoax sites and dodgy security certificates a few more times than Firefox has. People claim that Firefox is the better browser to see websites in. A load of rubbish! There are websites, and even ones that say "This site should only be viewed in firefox" which I view through IE7, and actually see it a lot better than firefox renders it as. In some cases, it won't even show at all in FF.

Opera is an Ok browser, and I like Safari 3 for Windows, but when it comes to AJAX and all those other cool things that won't show on Opera and Safari, it's gotta be IE.

I'd have to say Firefox. Opera isn't bad, but with FF add-ons, you can do much more. IE is, as my physics would say it, "poo-poo".
