What is the maximum upload file size?

What is the maximum upload file size on wordpress? I heard it's about 64 MB you get for the free hosting service, but it's only letting me upload about 16 MB. I'm confused?

for free-hosting and Prime upgrade it is 16 MiB

Anything bigger and you will have to upload it via cPanel or FTP

just checked with a PHP script - free-hosting servers xo1 and xo2 show 16 Mib - xo3 shows 2 MiB
