I created an account with a domain, and uploaded index.html to the public_html directory, and I still see the *****y "Domain available by x10.

Where is my site?

You need to wait for the DNS entries to propagate.

You can try to speed that up by flushing your dns: http://kb.x10hosting.com/questions.php?questionid=16

Also, try clearing your browser's cache.

Please note it can take up to 72 hours for DNS to propagate... Can't wait? Take a look at opendns.com

And make sure that you got the correct entries for the name servers as well. I know it may sound silly, but people sometime forget to put the correct name servers in

DNS is propagated here (it's nearly instant) if this is your website, lol. It might just be taking it's time to propagate if this is your site and you still can't load it. If it is DNS issues, I still don't understand why DNS should take 24-48 hours to propagate if my home DNS server on my Linux router can get entries within seconds of a domain going up and the registar has set up everything correctly.
