Gmail, I've been using it since invite only, and have been VERY happy with it.

It's got nearly 3 gigs of space, and is simply usable. I have it registered for MSN, and just have to find the patch for MSN if I want it to notify, but I don't mind checking my email every so often

well, i am currently using both gmail and hotmail. although hotmail is mostly for my msn. gmail is just way too good to be beaten by hotmail. love their simple ajax webmail interface. compared to hotmail new interface, gmail's interface loads much faster :D

gmail.com

All the way, they offer so much more, along with the simplisity that isn't offered in any other hosts...I am all for the gMail approach.

Gmail took me a few days to get an invite when it was new. I love gmail all the way.

Gmail is way better it's clean looking and has way more support/options then hotmail will ever give to you. Plus you can get any of the other services like the photouploading and your own personalized google page which has custom widgets if you can call them that...

Most definately GMail.
Hotmail actually charges you 20$ for pop access! Can you believe that.!??
And that too they are offering the choice only NOW.

Even dubious mail operators offered pop for free since ages!

I like Gmail, though, I'm used to hotmail. I like Gmail a little better, mainly because the general public doesn't use it. Call me a nonconformist, whatever.

Gmail is better as it has loads of features including mail fowarding and i also believe it has pop3 access though Hotmail is more popular as it has been around for longer. Even Windows Live Hotmail could not beat it.

Hotmail, because it gives you 5gb space and changes its theme every day nearly.
Windows Live Hotmail, commonly known as Hotmail, is a free webmail service by Microsoft, part of the Windows Live range of services. The current version was announced on November 1, 2005 as an update to Microsoft's existing MSN Hotmail service. After a period of beta testing, it was officially released to new users on May 7, 2007, and roll-out to all existing users is said to be completed by November.

It features 5 GB of storage, patented security measures and integration with Windows Live Messenger, Spaces, Calendar and Contacts. It has over 260 million users worldwide and is available in 35 different languages.
Which you go to say is quite a lot of users.

I am going to say both because I use Hotmail for 10+ years. I use messenger alot so its best to use hotmail with that. And Gmail is good because it has good spam blocker. Its strong search engine and the best part is tons of space.

Without any doubt it is gmail. Latest feature of free POP3 make it more attractive. Clubbing all your email account at one place and on top of that Google's search power..
What else one can ask?
