So just tell us your ISP here;)

I have 2 Verizon DSL lines currently, each with a separate wireless router!

SBC (err.. ATT?) Yahoo DSL. ~$25 bucks a month for 3 mbps down, 400 kbps up. Not too shabby. One is wired to the router/access point, the other two are wireless.

They also bought Valornet. My hostname usually says alltel.net now.

I've got Bellsouth, I believe it's like the second to worst plan, like 1.5MB/s downstream and something really crappy upstream hahah.

I'm on Road Runner.

General speeds 7200kbps down 800kbps up. Recently increased to those amounts. Very nice. Kinda expensive, though. A bit less if combined with cable.

Verizon Online Damn Slow Lag...er, DSL.

Although it seems pretty Damn Slow to me when compared to cable, which right now is about $5 cheaper.

Used to get 200kb/sec down 40kb/sec up on the most basic cable plan cause my parent's didn't think we needed faster (ideally we didn't, but I'm a bit of a nutcase for browsing and downloading anime). 180kb/sec up at its fastest on DSL, 30kb/sec up. Any faster uploading and my downloading suffers, and vice versa.

And it costs more than cable. I'm lost as to why the hell we're sticking with them right now.

Add to that the absolute crap customer service for Verizon around here, and you've got several disgruntled customers (I'm not the only one who hates them, although it seems around here I'm the only one with parents dumb enough to stick with them). Dun think the same holds absolutely true elsewhere, but here, Verizon's DSL is crap.

Central Wisconsin peeps, OUT!

Since this is Canada, I have Shaw Cable. They advertise speeds of 5Mbps downstream. Last time I checked, I get about 3Mbps downstream and about 400kbps upstream for about $28 Canadian. That's $24.31 USD.

I think its funny that some of you say that you either aren't sure of who your ISP is or you just start naming various companies.

Unless you are at college or just use the net at school, how do you NOT know who your ISP is?

I am on Qwest DSL. I had a local wireless broadband ( Montana Wireless ) but their service seemed sub-par, and I was a bit paranoid with having the metal pole outside my house during thunderstorms. *lol*

I'm in the UK and we we're with Freeserve, bought up by Wanadoo, which has now been bought up by Orange. Oh, and for some reason the customer service adress on the bottom of our statements is in Spain even though it's a UK company. Figure that one out! lol.
