Hello guys! I'm making an Adobe Muse template for Themeforest for selling. I uploaded my site here http://carloolaguer.x10host.com/ and I just have a question. It takes 15-20 seconds to fully load the site, even though it's unfinished yet and more will be added. So I assume after finishing the site, it'll take more loading time. Any advice on why? I see other Muse templates with heavy resources load faster.

All images are below 1M. Mostly 300 kb and one 700 kb. I have a total of only 5 images used in the site. I'm pretty sure that's not the case of the load time, although it may contribute to it if I add more in the future.

1.> landing page size of 9.8 MiB will take time to load

2.> I 'see' five (5) files of type 'Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)' of more than 900 KiB (each) in size

3.> look at you site - at --> [ http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/d0UwbN/http://carloolaguer.x10host.com/ ]

Thanks for breaking it down. I'm actually counting it manually. Thanks for the link. I see that the Perf grade is 71/100. Is it considered a low score?

When troubleshooting load-times, I would highly advise Firefox or Chrome console.

Right-Click > Inspect Element.

Chrome:
  1. Timeline TAB.
  2. Hit the circle in the upper-left of the console.
  3. Refresh the page.
  4. Stop recording after page has loaded.
Firefox:
  1. Performance TAB
  2. Click the button.
  3. Refresh
  4. Click the button after you're finished loading.
