why i can't update crossfire?

You do realise, don't you, that this forum (it was in "Crossfire" at the time if it's been migrated since) is not about some computer game? This is a place for debate; for well-considered argument around sometimes controversial issues. There is a forum for games and gaming, but this isn't it.
You (that's the collective "you") will find that your postings bet more and better responses when they're in the appropriate forum. Some of the regulars around here hang out in the Gamers' Lounge and don't really look at the other forums much, so the people who are best able to answer your question may never see it.
Now, if you're up for an argument about the efficacy of randomly posting questions in unsuitable forum venues on the chance that you'll meet an expert who just happened to be visiting at the time, then this is the right place. Let me know -- I have some very strong opinions on the matter, backed by decades of experience and data, and would love to engage.
