Why I can't upload files through FTP?

I can't upload files through FTP to my site... but to my friend's site is ok... in same computer... why this happens? :nuts:

Are you both using the same domain? I mean like mine for instance is www.aftershock.exofire.net

are you both using x10hosting.com or using 2 different server names?

We are using different accounts with different passwords.... I mean our website have no connection... He can upload files to his site from my computer but I can.. I'm sure that the login details I entered are correct... Please HELp!!!
