I would say it looks like they all would work together, but I'm not sure about the extra fan, as I have never worked with extra fans before.

Yeah it should work. I mean my comp is running 5 comp fans at the moment. 3 from case, 1 on CPU and one on PSU.

I fount this on Microsofts website:

technet.microsoft.com said:
A Windows Vista Capable PC includes at least:

* A modern processor (at least 800MHz¹).
* 512 MB of system memory.
* A graphics processor that is DirectX 9 capable.

A Windows Vista Premium Ready PC includes at least:

* 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor¹).
* 1 GB of system memory.
* Support for DirectX 9 graphics with a WDDM driver, 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)², Pixel Shader 2.0 and 32 bits per pixel.
* 40 GB of hard drive capacity with 15 GB free space.
* DVD-ROM Drive³.
* Audio output capability.
* Internet access capability.

Core 2's work fine on Vista; I don't know about motherboard compatibility but it shouldn't matter. Why on earth would you want Vista premium? Such bloatware..

I'm getting Vista for free from a friend. So I thought I'd try it out. I can always go back to XP.

Seriously I think that Vista should go back to the drawing board and be redone. I ran it for awhile and Ireally don't like the incompatability issues that come with it. I would wait for sp1 to come out for it which should be around Nov. I doubt that will make it any better though.

THe 1 gig of ram that it talks about in the specs for Vista Premium is just the bare minimum. If you want it to run smooth you will need more that that. I had it running on 1 gig of ddr2 ram and it was slow so take it from that that it needs more.

^ well that's where we agree about Geoff... first off, it was 512mb in XP when xp released... i'll stick to xp then!

and it seems like the will work together:) but i still prefer browsing malls and seeing the parts and canvassing for good parts myself ^^ i prefer this over internet shopping:)

EDIT: ooh btw the speech recognition has a big security hole... it can accept commands from recorded sounds such as .wav or .mp3's so i rlly wouldn't consider upgrading until that is fixed....
