Hi!

Not sure if this is something I created by some means or if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, but my wordpress site (especially the admin end) has become eeeeextreeeeeemely slow. It takes forever to get anything done through it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have any suggestion on what I could do to resolve it? Any and all recommendations/suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't have an account on that server so can't verify it is server wide or not, I took a peak on the server itself and didn't see anything obvious. The site doesn't appear that slow for me right now though.

It may have been a temporary high load on the server though, is it still slow for you?

Hi Anna!

Yes, it's been slow for sometime now. That's why I'm thinking it's probably just something on my end - maybe some plugin I'm running or something else. Someone did mention upgrading to the latest Php version though - not sue if that's an option and if it would in face help my case...

I *think* php version 7.4 is an option on all servers now, you can find that under "Extra Features" -> "Select PHP Version".

I just checked - up to 7.3 is available for me. But then, I've apparently been running on 7.1. I've just switched to 7.3, I'll check to see if this shows some improvement.

Hi Anna,

Any chance my php can be upgraded to the latest version? It looks like the switch to 7.3 helped some (maybe it's just my mind); I'm thinking 7.4 might solve this problem.

Thanks

I'll have to take that up with head admins as they are the ones who can install new versions, but I can't see why it wouldn't be possible.

Right now it is apparently not an option, as it isn't yet made compatible with the system used to allow switching between versions, but they were expecting that it wouldn't take too much longer before it would be.

I see. Ok, thank you very much for trying and for your prompt response. As always, truly appreciated.
