Wordpress and phpinfo

Hi, I have two questions -

1. Fantastico offers update for 2.6.1 of wordpress, but wordpress.org says 2.6.2 is the latest. Do I need to upgrade manually?
2. Upon clicking the upgrade button in the wordpress dashboard I get an error about phpinfo. I saw an announcement that phpinfo is temporarily enabled, do I need to apply for level 2 php access in order to run wordpress? Please help since I cant login to WP at all.

If you upgrade to intermediate phpinfo is enabled.

Fantastico is updated by a 3rd party so you can either wait for them to upgrade the script in Fantastico or you can upgrade it yourself, it's up to you!
