Yesterday, I was very happy. I was able to start using my parked domain! However, I'm now getting some problems 
My WordPress "home" page can be accessed but other WP pages give a 404 error! I can access pages in my root directory OK too. As an act of desparation, I went through and republished every page! I also tried republishing the last three or four posts. No good. I have updated WP with the new URL and email address, but to no avail.
Please, please can somebody help? I'm completely stumped

Never mind! I've solved the problem. I was going to delete this post (if that's possible!) but thought that it might be useful to have the solution on record
Go to Settings/Permalinks in the WP admin panel. Change the setting to Default! Make sure you copy your settings if you have special ones! Now go to a page and then click on a link to one of those that gave you a 404 message before. It should now come up no problem! If it does, go back to the permalinks settings and restore what you had before! Done!
