I just installed wordpress on my site:

www.passion-gaming.net

And for some reason, it does not send out activation emails.

I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin for word press, and it has a test mail button, which for some reason works.

But registration emails don't get sent. Is this a problem with something I did with wordpress or something x10 related?

I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin for word press
that might be a issue

external [ SMTP ] is blocked on x10hosting's free-hosting servers - all mail must go out through outbound spam filters on 10hosting's SMTP server
messages with no body content - and HTML-only mail (mail with no plain text part) - and messages with no subject - and messages that just say "Testing" (or like that) - and anything else that looks "spammy" (as far as the outbound mail filters are concerned) will be silently discarded

spoofing the [ From ] header is not allowed - Emails with the [ From ] header not set with a working Email address that exists and is actually part of your x10hosting's free-hosting account will be silently discarded

I used the WP Mail SMTP plugin after the vanilla wordpress emails wouldn't send, but that didn't work either.

Also, in the from header, are you saying that I can not use the email that's part of my x10hosting account, or that I can?

Emails with the [ From ] header NOT set with a working Email address attached to your free-hosting account will be silently discarded

The [ From ] header must be a real email account attached to your free-hosting account - you can not set it to a user's email address (or to your own external email address) - if you need to easily reply to the emails - then set the [ Reply-To ] header (which can be different from the [ From ] header).

I haven't changed anything, but its suddenly working, even with the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

I'm just gonna accept it and not touch that part of WP.

Hi, could You please confirm that this is the same reason why if I try to send an email(content html) with a link like info@mydomain.x10host.com within the body, the email is not sent?
Thanks.
