My Wordpress won't publish anything if it has html in it, which doesn't work for me because I need the <table> tag. I'm not sure how to fix this but any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

I can't find a hosting account linked to your forum account. Please link your accounts, by going to "Support" in the top right of cPanel. :)

Thank you,

Thank you,

I click on support but all it leads to is a link to this forum :p

I've tried both cpanel and basic mode, support just links to the forum, I don't see an option to link.

Hi,

On the Support tab, you should see a button that says "Visit Forums". Your forum username will be displayed there. If you would like to link your hosting account to your existing forum account, a link will also be provided to allow you to do this. :)

Thank you,

Ok it says a fatal error has occured. I speculate this is a result in the period in my username. If you could remove it I think then I would be able to complete the link.

There is a plugin called wordpress advanced wysiwyg (i haven't tried it), but by the looks of the description you can add additional buttons such as tables to the default posting editor.
Is this what you after?

Ok sorry, here is my account. I am the same as OP.

Unfortunately I tried this and it did not work, probably because it only works as a frontend to posting html which is blocked.

I would very much like to have this issue resolved. If there is anything I can do or information to provide I will be more than happy to. The issue is not html posting (like I thought) but rather posting links to Archive.org (and only archive.org).

I get this error:

You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It makes no difference whether it is just archive.org or archive.org/web/longlink, if I post a link to archive.org it fails.

How can I resolve this? It is very much needed.

  1. Try fixing the WordPress permalinks as mentioned here (https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks)
  2. Check .htaccess to see if anything is access denied, remove rules if needs to.
  3. Disable any plugins you may have and test it.
  4. Might be a mod_sec thing, so you need staff do deal with it.

IMO - you have been hit with a "mod_security" rule about HTML code in a 'post'

there have been a few post about this issue in this forum...
