With all these circumstances I just cancelled my trip on Aug. 10 to Israel and am now going to Florida, again, yay:rant2: .
If you were me would you have cancelled your trip?

yes I probably would, partly due to the reason, I would fear for my safety all the time, and I just wouldn't feel comfortable in a country that is at war with another.

I'd never go there.. why would I want to go there in the first place? This conflict won't be over anytime soon.. I'd rather save my money and just stay home

Absolutley not! First of all, I'm kind of a wimp. I don't think I'd last when at any moment your hotel could blow up or your car could be bombed. Face it, the war is not going to be over anytime soon. Unless I'd have an army of my own, then no, I wouldn't go.

If I wanted to die then absolutely! Unless I organized my own group to take the Lebanese government, then I would definitely go =D

I would definitely go, I've traveled throughout the world, including much of the Middle East and I mean it's pretty safe for the most part. Even in countries that are engaged in war like Israel, there are places that you can go safely and places that are more volatile or 'at risk areas'. Clearly you most likely wouldn't want to go right into a battle zone, but in cases like the current situation - where it's died down a bit, it's quite safe - provided your not traveling through the bordering areas of Lebanon/Syria/Israel.

The media makes it look a lot more tense and fierce then it actually is.

I would go. there are places in Israel are are still relatively ok to go to. I have family friends living there and they seem to do okay.
