I got an infraction on off topic for spamming, ie I bumped a thread that I didn't see the date bcause i'm on my iPod, the only thing is in the rules of offtopic it says nothing about no being able to answer old threads?

That topic had been dead for 2+ weeks is the thing I can see, and the answer you had given wasn't correct at the time - the issue at the time the topic was actually posted was indeed that terminations were still ongoing and were causing slowness.

Okay yes, but the infraction was not because it was wrong but for bumping a dead thread. However in he off topic rules, that is not a rule that you can't do that

Edit:

I mean like, is loosin 5 points a big deal?

In response to zubair
okay but If there was no rule about bumping old
threads in off topic and I answered the question with
one post , why was it considered spam ? It's not like
I was advertising something I was just adding on to
an answer. And sorry about that, I originally do that because I'm on an iPod and when I edit it I have to redo the format because it does not show all of my post

No, but don`t try to spam in future otherwise it will a big deal.

Amm also There is a edit button on the bottom of every post (posted by you), Why no you click it to add more test instead of posting a new post again?
I count this thing as spam. when new users do this i just ignore it because they are new. but regular users should not do this. :)
