I have an account in absolut server.
A friend of mine bought a domain name and I helped him build it by adding it to my account.
I noticed that from the first week the site name was in the google list and had been visited by various bots . Google, Yahoo and some more...

My question is this :
Does x10hosting take any action when someone adds a new domain name to its servers ( absolut server especially)?

I'm asking that because I raised a site for the company I work in their private servers and I don't see any visits from search engine bots...

I'm tryng to determine if the search engine visits were caused by the company that I bought the name or from some action taken from x10hosting.

Thanks in advance :)

Decent keywords work wwhen i'm listed in the search engine.
My question on the "how did it get listed" part because I did not take any action to list the domain name to google...

Google, yahoo!, etc have bots that constantly crawl the web and visit every page of every site that they can. You cannot make them visit your site, but you can block them by detecting them through the user-agent string and redirecting them through various means.

x10 do not add new domain to Google etc. automatically. I guess Google Bot just found that URL.

ok thanks for the replies.
I was looking for a reply like TechAsh.

I guess the business that sold me the domain name might have somthing to do with it. I don't think it was luck because I got listed in the first week(I notised ip comming from google and yahoo... ) -while other domains/sites are not even listed after months...

I just had to clear that out.

Thanks again..
