You guys probably already new this but, I just read an article that said the xbox 360 is going on store shelves tonight at midnight.

Electronics retailers across the country are preparing for the expected onslaught of excited gamers as the Xbox 360 officially launches on Tuesday. At least one major retailer will open its doors early, and over 4,500 others nationwide will open at midnight to begin selling the console.

They will just keep coming out with new stuff like every year. I don't have the money to get new systems lol. Soo PC I will buy and update. But I'm sticking with my normal good old N46 and Xbox.

I have one of the old playstation systems and thats about all I`m getting. Updating the pc is alot cheaper than running to get a new system like that.

Forget xbox 360. I tried it awhile ago, and the controls sucked. WAY to sensitive. Im waiting for ps3.

Yup. I agree. I did not like it also. I played it at Cuircuit City on a HD tv and it was crap. It is just like the PC grafics....I hope the PS3 is better....

ps3 may be statistically better, but xbox will have all the good games
many of playstation's normal game producing companies are complaining its too hard to script an engine of a game to match the ps3's cell processor. also, sony is having major trouble at controlling heat with the cell processor..

what good is a high stat system when there arent any games for it?
and if you thought the xbox 360's price was high, wait until you see the playstation 3. cnet predicts it will be from 500-700 dollars, and even at that rate, sony will LOSE money since they put so much money into making the console

xbox 360 will dominate once halo 3 is released since that is a MUST-GET game for any xbox user. the only bad thing ive heard about the xbox 360 is that its wireless headsets suck, but ive only heard good things about the controllers. they are extremely responsive and have a nice soft grip to them.

other than that, i think microsoft did a spectacular job on this console

i mean, they fixed up windows pretty will didnt they? i havent had any trouble with any microsoft product, ever.

i could care less about microsoft's starting lineup for games for the xbox 360, after all, the only games i need are halo 1,2, and 3.

the main reason i dont want a ps3 is because it will be more expensive, and its games suck IMO; i only play first person shooters, nothing else.

Yes and the PC will always be better than the concoles because it will always evolve but it is the games that matter on the concoles.... The PS3 will not expensive. Sony said that the price will be UNDER $400!!!!! will ship with media bundle

no console can give the same counter strike source experience like a pc
i just played 2 hours straight.. owning with the sniper rifles

About the Xbox 360 crashes. MS has said they will repair or replace any defective consoles for free. How about that.

Personally, I'm more of a console person. I could never really get into using a Mouse and Keyboard of game playing. Get cramp to easily IMO. And for me, upgrading the PC just to play games is too expensive. and i can never seem to get a good, stable, frame rate.

The Xbox 360 controller rocks. the general concensus is: BEST. CONTROLLER. EVER!

Devs have only just begun to scratch the surface with Xbox 360. my advice? give it time for the truely stellar games to come out. *cough*Halo3*cough*

The graphics of the game is not important anyway, its about gameplay. Thats what is going to be important in this new generation. And the little details, like every single reflection in PGR3 being calculated in real-time. find me one PC game that does that.:naughty:

As for PS3. no-way am i convinced that anything about it is going to be much better than 360. All the 'demos' are pre-rendered BS. I don't like the look of the controller either.

but yes the ps3 controller is UGLY! like a crescent boomerang.. im pretty sure they'll change it though.. and its very true, the 360 has all the good major games..

So was the XBOX 360's first previews. So you can not say that they both where not pre-rendered.

The controller is not the final design. They might still change it.

True that the first previews for x360 were pre-rendered. But that was the ones nearly a year ago. All the demos shown at e3 were on beta dev-kits that were less powerful than the final hardware. And now we're begining to see final hardware real-time demos and they look stunning.

I would be so surprised if PS3 launched with a game that looked exactly like the motocross type demo shown at E3 that i would buy one myself. Seriously. I don't think its going to happen. Plus it'll be this time next year or later before we get them.

The Xbox 360 launch line-up is pretty good anyway. No 'killer-ap' granted, but there's a broad range of games for most genres, with more coming this month and throughout next year.
