Ya'll think they'll fire Houston?

The Hogs (University of Arkansas Razorbacks) are miserable this year. I see no Heisman in McFadden's future if things don't change radically. So, do ya'll think the Alumni Association will apply pressure and make then new athletic director fire Houston Nutt?

I do not think so. Becoz for doing so they need lot of guts. Someone need to stand up and raise her/his hand but I do not see someone of that kind there.

The Alumni Association has a lot of guts, most of the time, lol. There have been other coaches who have not lasted as long as Houston, even ones with good Arkansas connections. But, heck, it won't hurt Houston if they fire him. Look at Stan Heath. Don't you wish you could get fired and then get a severance package good enough to take you to retirement and beyond?

A lot of people have noted that college sports does not offer the best business model. When they fire a coach they usually pay way too much for the joy of doing so.

Too bad something can't be done about the coaching before the futures of some of the players are compromised.

Hmm, Merriam Webster agrees with you, but, lol, that is the way I, and many others, spell it.

According to my dictionary, it's not a word.

This is way more fun than debating the big issues: race, sex, religion and politics.

The rules of English in the Southern United States is:

Y'all is singular.
All y'all is plural.
All y'all's is plural possessive.

Yes, I hate living in Kentucky.

I am so sorry, honey, but down here we think of Kentucky as being in the North. I am sure it is perfectly awful. The problem is that you are not far enough down South.

According to the Mason-Dixon Line (and the rednecks on ATVs driving on pavement) we are, in fact, a Southern state. I do hate this damned accent also.

*gasps* You hate MY accent? Or that strange one those poor people in Kentucky use?

I know where the Mason-Dixon is, but that is only relevant to those who want to be a part of our wonderfulness. Folks in Kentucky are not what we are in Arkansas. I am sure they are darling in their own way, but it's just not the same.

I hate every Southern accent. They're unpleasant with their elongated vowels and slow speech. I do enjoy English (British), German and Czech accents when they speak English.
