Do we have either of these installers enabled?

I need one or the other in order to upload some scripts to my site.

Below is a copy of the email I received from my Tech Support person with regards to what is needed to be able to upload my script

Begin email:

Hi Jeff,

My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I have checked out your site and your hosting company has a lot of security features in place meaning quite a few of SetupBot's requirements are disabled. For example, the phpinfo() function has been disabled for your server and this is used to check the location of files and whether or not you have the appropriate encoders installed (Zend Optimizer or IonCube).

Because it is disabled, SetupBot is unable to get the information and reports back that you don't have it.

I was unable to install IonCube run-time version because of other disabled functions, but there's a chance that either Zend Optimizer or IonCube are already installed and functioning on your server (we normally use the phpinfo function to find out).

My suggestion is to please ask your hosts IF you already have Zend Optimizer and/or IonCube enabled on the server. If not, ask them if they would install one of them for you. They are both free software and simple for your host to install.

If you get confirmation that one of them is installed and working, you can then try your GoTryThis installation again, but you will need to do a manual install because of your security settings. To do this:

1. Login to your member's area at http://greenwebservices.com/members
2. Click the Install button to launch SetupBot and begin the install.
3. When you are asked to enter your FTP information, click the PASS button at the bottom

You will then be asked for additional setup information and given instructions on how to upload to your site. Once you have completed all the instructions, you should have a working copy of GoTryThis. Remember that you will need to confirm with your hosts first that either Zend Optimizer or Ioncube is enabled for you.

If you need any help with the manual install once one of them is enabled, please let me know.

Regards,

Robyn

End email

So before I contact my Tech Support again I just need to know if Zend Optimizer and/or IonCube are loaded and enabled on the server.

Thanks you very much,

Jeff Walters

I hope you're right Blaze, it would make my situation easier.

I guess I just wait until I get definitive proof.

Both should be installed on PHP v2.
