Zombie Driver by Exor Studios is a pretty allright game and available from many Office Depot stores in the U.S.
It features a pretty dumb storyline and moronic gameplay (most of the game is about running over zombies with your car) but does sport some key features which will be discussed momentarily.
Probably THE biggest disappointment of this game is that many computers will probably experience a "stuttering" problem with the game (where the game crawls to a single frame, then goes back to normal) that is discussed on the Zombie Driver forum site and was evident on this reviewer's PC. Updating to the latest Zombie Driver version did not help my PC.
Now for the coolest thing about this game.
The game is highly moddable (most of the non-engine files are written in xml) and thus busting this game up is of keen issue. One "major sport" in hacking this game is to (somehow) fix the stuttering problems with it. HINT: Reducing the number of zombies per level to under 10 (from thousands) did not improve performance.
If you're a fan of such games as Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, or if you just want to see a game that looks like a tiny version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, then you might consider this one.
Current Office Depot Price: $9.99
