Problem linking cPanel account to forum account

I've a problem activating my account. I receive a dialog box telling me to link my cPanel account to my forums account. When I input my username I receive the message:

An Error Has Occurred
The hosting username you specified does not exist.

What exactly is a cPanel account? Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Yes. I found that extremely confusing when I first signed up. If you've only just filled in all of your signup details, you would often have to wait a few hours for them to activate your account before trying to link them. You have to put in the username you'd use to log in here, and click ok. Give it 24 hours-and check your e-mail-It will tell you when your account is activated. Good luck.

You mean 24 x 365. HAHA, I signed up for about a year ago, and I'm sill unable to activate the cPanel, i have all details, but it refuses to give me a 'successfully' message, just the same old message:

An Error Has Occurred
The hosting username you specified does not exist.
