I changed the nameservers to an other server and back to x10 but still i get the same error. Please help me

You'll have to submit a ticket. I'm guessing your old account didn't delete 100%.

Hehe, well spotted zubair12. Yes, that problem looks identical so hopefully you may have come up with the cure there!

The only possible question mark is that in that thread, waleedt5 didn't make it 100% clear if it was by your suggestion that the problem got solved. It is possible that it was Support or something else that did it.

So jimaek2, please post back here with the results & let us know if/how you fixed it - so that others here may benefit from the info. Good luck! :fingersx:

Log in to your AMP ; http://x10hosting.com/panel.php

Click Modify Your Account, & your Main Domain settings are in there.

Make sure "use subdomain" is not selected, then enter you domain in the box & save it. Wait for it to be processed.

I'm not sure if this is all you need to do though, so hopefully zubair12 will clarify what he means.

For example, does he include the "www." before the site name? does he also need to add it or (I assume this is the right option -> ) make sure it is removed from the Parked domain section in cPanel? etc.

"Your account was updated successfully.
Your domain change has been inserted into x10Hosting's backend system queue.
The status of the domain change will be updated and displayed below."

I don't think you have to park the domain, that is why you set it to being the Main domain, instead.

Just make sure that your DNS is still set correctly at your registrar to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.

You'll now need to wait till your domain change job reaches the front of the queue!

As I said in my last post, perhaps zubair12 can clarify if this process is what he meant. (you can PM him, if he doesn't notice this thread). :)

jimaek2 hasn't said that it has worked for him yet, merely that he's done what I asked.

zubair12, can you confirm what I asked you about, earlier on? Did I give him the right instructions & is there anything else you wanted him to do?

You are absolutly right zen-r..

As zen-r says you don`t need to park it because you are using it as your main domain.

Now tell me your domain registrar if your domain is not working yet.

So that i can further help you

So does it already say in your AMP that the change to Main domain has been made, & it is no longer in the Pending List? If not, you still need to wait.

It is no longer in the Pending List but the settings came back to previous. The subdomain was again clicked. I changed again the main domain, and i hope this time will work

If not, just get a Support ticket (if you haven't already).

They can sort it out for you, but they are so busy with the server issues that you will probably have to wait a long time. Keep checking your ticket to see that it hasn't been closed, & if necessary, re-open it.

jimaek2, if you think that the method which zubair12 recommended & I gave you instructions for isn't working, & you want to try something else while you wait for a response from Support - then you could try reading this post (not the whole thread!) which I've just come across & linked to here ; http://forums.x10hosting.com/tutorials/40526-setting-up-freedns-domain-2.html#post551252

FstLink seems to be describing a problem like yours. If he's right, then you may need to set the parked domain in cPanel before setting the DNS with your registrar.

Since you've actually set the DNS first, you could try pointing the DNS somewhere else (anywhere) & wait for the change to take effect. Then park your domain in the cPanel (of course, you need to be able to access it first! Try the methods again that I gave earlier for logging in to cPanel).

When that change has gone through, go back to the registrar & now set the DNS to the correct location of ns1.x10hosting.com & ns2.x10hosting.com. Wait for the changes to go through (can take up to 24hrs).

See if it works now!!

Let us know what you do, & how you get on. :)
