Starting from around last night (or around 20 hours ago), my forum (located at http://ninstar.co.cc/forum/) has been unable to connect to its database. I presumed the problem to be temporary, however, after so long, it hasn't disappeared and I've become worried.

The exact message is as follows:

----------

Connection Problems

Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

----------

The forum's been set up and working for in excess of a month. My x10hosting account hasn't been suspended. The database still exists and seems to have all the appropriate data there. The database name and users haven't changed. I've come to presume that x10 is work on the servers or something, but haven't found any evidence of that. Everything seems to be working fine when I check the status.
Is there anyone with any information that might be useful? My website is on Stoli.

Have you changed the password to any of your database access accounts? If you have, you will have to reflect the changes in your forum as well so it can properly connect to the database.

No, I personally hadn't changed the database user password (I don't even know how), but, for some reason, it was reset to no password at all! I had to recreate the user. Now it's working.
Thanks a lot for your help! :D

All right, that's good that it's working. For future reference, if you ever need to modify any of your databases, there's a feature in cPanel called myPHPAdmin where you can view databases and change security information.
