Hi, sorry if I am posting a question with an obvious answer, but how can I get SSH enabled on my account? I found an announcement from back in July, 2009 saying to create a Support ticket if you want SSH enabled for your account.

Thanks!

Normally for security reasons SSH will be disabled for all accounts.

I did indeed come across that thread, but I also came across this announcement.

The announcement was posted after that thread so I am assuming it is now allowed?

That is from the "clients" section, ie Paid Hosting.
Shell access is not allowed on Free Hosting.

Yes you are correct. For it to get enabled your thread should be replied by a admin. An admin can only enable it.....
Since Escalation is not working i cannot escalate this for further support.

Sorry Descalzo i didnt notice that !!!!!

What can't you do via FTP, cPanel, PHP, Python, and Perl that you need shell access?
