MYSQL General Error

Ok till about 1 hour ago my forums was working fine, now i recive this error, can anyone tell me how i can solve this issue as ive seen my errors with MySQL and PHPBB but not this one ever ^^

SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) [2002]
An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

EDIT: well i checked my MYSQL database and guess what... Its Not There! Also there are no MySQL users and best of all i can't even access my phpmyadmin part either to quickly back up my DB

MYSQL server is down at the moment.. Admins are alerted about that. It will resolve soon

Ok thanks for telling me as i probably would have tryed to sort it out and probably brake it in the process ^^. They should probably post this in the News&Announcments section or somthing to stop many other people questioning about the MYSQL issue.
