"Wrong Username/Password. Access Denied" message when I click on "phpMyAdmin"

I get "Wrong Username/Password. Access Denied" message when I click on "phpMyAdmin". I am logged into my account and the other buttons seem to work fine. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

At least you're not the only one. I'm getting a database connection error, though I've changed nothing. Something has gone SNAFU.

Did you create dbuser and database from your Cpanel.

At least you're not the only one. I'm getting a database connection error, though I've changed nothing. Something has gone SNAFU.

Check whether your db user has all privileges.

Right, so I've now added a new user and password on my MySQL db and that seems to have sorted things. How this came to be, and why this was required today when all had been previously working without issue before, is a mystery.
