My website has been running at http://singapore-property-calculator.exofire.net for quite a while. occasionally, i would get a suspend warning for no forum activity. Usually they got resolved upon some forum activity followed by an appeal.

Recently, since Feb 13, I dont see any visit to my site (as per google analytics). It usually has a few visits every day and has been last visted on feb 12. I double checked by visiting the site site today and found that it doesnt exist!! I logged in to my x10hosting account and found that the cpanel at https://stoli.x10hosting.com:2083/ is not working either. No way to retrieve my files!!!! Please help me bring my site back up. Or any advise to atleast retreive my files . I hope this is some silly mistake on my part.

:(

thanks..

You are a little behind the times. The inactivity policy was changed quite a long time ago; the requirement is that you log into your account portal (not the forum) at least once every 30 days. And Stoli hasn't existed since last August (your account would have been transferred to Absolut at that time).

If your account was suspended for inactivity and subsequently terminated, then your data have been deleted and there are no backups available. (It's never been a good idea to rely on email notifications for that. The servers are occasionally down, thee mail system is like any other computer program and is subject to occasional bugs and stoppages, and email systems/ISPs can discard messages -- that was a particular problem when Free Hosting users were allowed to run x10hosting.com subdomains.) You may be able to create a new hosting account, depending on your location, but if you really are in Singapore you will probably be blocked due to the current country restrictions.

Thanks a bunch for the informative reply. I didnt notice all these changes that happenned on the way in terms of policy. Given the fact that the site was accessible until about 10days back, how do I double check and make sure if all data has been irritreivably lost? any link for that? Usually, how long does it take to delete data, once a suspension due to inactivity is triggered? would that be...10 days?? thanks.

If your account is suspended for 30+ days of you not logging in to the Account Portal (inactivity) - you can un-suspend it from within the Account Portal (AP) - but if you do not do this within 14 days the computer (system) will terminate it and delete ALL of its files - NO backups are made - anytime after the 14 day delay

You can "double check and make sure if all data has been irritreivably [irretrievably] lost" by going to the account's URL in your browser
