Hi X10 team,
We are trying to get a new site for our non-profit charity but are experiencing some routing issues, please read on.
When connecting to the site using a specific major Internet Service Provider (ISP) provider we get great response times and site is always up.
However some people is having no access at all when logging from specific wifi hotspots (i.e. Starbucks) even from another major ISP here in Canada.
Is there any filtering happening on the x10 side perhaps? Do you know anything that can be done as a workaround to make it work (e.g. use
xo2.x10hosting.com/specific URL as an alternate) or even know if an own domain (www.mydomainname.com) would help workaround this?
Just had someone test using ping from the non working ISP and the DNS resolves to the correct IP (198.91.81.4) but the page wont open.
Could it be something blocking it on the x10 end or perhaps a spam/blacklist filter?
We were about to go live with our site but this will definitely stop our development completely if it cannot be accessed from everywhere.
Hope you have some suggestions on what to try or how to workaround it.
Thanks and great work with the free hosting guys!
Carlos H.
