Cannot login to panel

My website is up, however I cannot login to my control panel, it says error in place of the control panel button.

Hello there!

I have just discovered that you have to RESET your password to be able to log in again to del CPANEL. Once you reset it, you will be able to log in, the CPANEL button appears again...

This was exactly it! I had same problem for over a month! I simply clicked on "forgot password", waited for the email, changed my password and now when I log in I get the OPEN CPANEL button rather than just the "error" button..
