Hey, I can successfully ping 69.175.120.10 and resolve its hostname.
Aha!! Lotus might be back. Changing my A records now to 69.175.120.10. Hope the propagation will happen quickly.
Hi Frenz,
We are all thru this nightmarish "data center move" thing. Hope things will settle down soon. God bless everybody.
Now the question.......
I've noticed in Corey's post that IP's have changed like as mentioned below,
Absolut: 69.175.121.74
Boru: 69.175.121.66
Chopin: 69.175.104.34...
Yeah... as Corey mentioned in his post, the "status" site was not visible from my end. Anyway, It's good to hear that we shall have better service in few days time.
I've been using X10's free hosting service for the last few months. The service was so so until now and I thus loved it. I didn't complain as we can not expect much from a free hosting service. But for the last few weeks the service has been horrible(even 0%) and it makes me to write this post...
Hey Frenz,
I've been using EveryDNS(http://everydns.com) since yesterday. I'm still not sure whether I'm making things better for my domain for messing the whole thing up. BTW my site is down .
Can somebody do me(and a large section of X10 members I suppose) a favor by pasting his/her...
Never knew services like EveryDNS existed. Gonna be a great tool for me. Thanks all.
Any idea on how long it takes EveryDNS to see the changes we make at our domain registrar's end?
Edit:
I found this tutorial useful. http://www.techtalkz.com/tips-n-tricks/158-setting-up-dns-everydns-net-how.html
Sorry but Completely untrue. I used the the CacheViewer extension(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2489?collection_uuid=e7f6ea21-c7bd-db04-13a6-c1a1ec43580f). I was able to selectively delete MYSITENAME.com cache and thus able to correct the said issue.
Now everything works...
As I have mentioned already 1) Site opens fine from other(un-cached with my site) browsers. 2) I don't want to delete whole of my cache.
I know clearing the cache will resolve the issue. But I want to clear the cache of only MYSITENAME.com, not all.
Question open to the real hackers.
Hala...
Not helping Sir.
Its probably a Firefox issue. MYSITE.com is still redirecting to http://MYSITENAME.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi. Ctrl+F5 simply refreshes the http://MYSITENAME.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi page.
Perhaps I should post this to Mozillazine forum.
But earthinc does have a point. He may not be that obsessed with SLAs, priority support etc. All he is wants is an extra database, few more domains etc. Nothing wrong in asking for juice.
Hala!!
