An email issue has been identified for users on the x15 server.

Description: Users may be unable to receive emails on the x15 server. Users may receive an error "550 Authentication Required" or similar when attempting to send an email to their hosting service email address.

The issue is being worked on to implement a fix.

Workaround: While a fix is being worked on to fix it automatically, there are some steps that can be taken as a manual fix, follow these steps while in DirectAdmin:

1. In DirectAdmin, navigate to E-mail Manager -> MX Records

E-mail Records -> MX Records

2. You should see a checkbox that says "Use this server to handle my e-mails. If not, change the MX records and uncheck this option." Make sure that box is checked, and check the box if it is not already, and click save. That should allow you to receive emails again
Use this server to handle my e-mails. If not, change the MX records and uncheck this option.

I just ran into this issue on x13 as of yesterday.
After applying this manual fix, instead of the “550 authentication required” error, I am now getting “550 No such recipient here” even though the address I’m emailing to absolutely exists on this server.

Best I could suggest there would be to delete the mailbox and create it new.

Are you using the built in webmail for this test?

(Solved): on E-mail Manager > E-mail Accounts, I was enabled DKIM my problem was solved.

Hi there,

I'm trying to use my account to sign into my own smtp server using the instructions given i.e port 587, using my desktop mail, but each time I keep getting errors. I even try to connect it to my web application using the same port and it also has the same problem.

This problem didn't happen before when I first set up the web application. It only happened recently, when I rechecked it and I found that my desktop app wasn't connecting as well.

It doesn't seem to be the mail server, because when I went into Roundcube and tried test-sending myself an email at 2 separate email accounts, they both showed up.

Would you kindly take a look at it please?

I'm resircpz@X14

The Mail Encryption setting should be set to STARTTLS, which is not the same as TLS. Alternatively, changing the mail host setting to x14.x10hosting.com may work as well.

Changing it to x14.x10hosting.com did work beautifully! Thank you ever so much!
