    ATI/AMD Graphics or Nvidia

It honestly depends on what you feel is the best. I'm an NVIDIA person and have a rig with 4 GTX480s installed. They all work nicely and are watercooled. Honestly when it comes down to it, ATi has really been the best bang for the buck and has really been bringing some competition to NVIDIA in...

EU-directive will require site owners to get legal permission from users for cookies

Re: EU-directive will require site owners to get legal permission from users for cook This is going to be something tough to enforce. Most forum software I know place cookies in your computer simply by visiting a page. Advertisers do it as part of their ad tracking system. Going to take a lot...

How Much Mobile Data do you Use a Month?

Ya know, I think constantly uploading and downloading HD video on a phone will do that lol. It might also be possible he's tethering or are running a Torrent client from their phone (lol).

    My Blog on Ubuntu 11.04

The main thing LibreOffice has going for it is that it is in fact forked from the Source Code of OpenOffice. People aren't happy about what Oracle has been doing with OpenOffice lately (mainly removing support for backwards compatibility libraries, amongst other things the last I checked), so...

How Much Mobile Data do you Use a Month?

I don't download movies or anything unlawful by any means. We just have a lot of computers in the house, I'm on the computer all the time along with a bunch of others and we all watch YouTube in HD for example. Mostly Streaming content that eats our bandwidth up if it isn't from Steam or other...

External HDD Doesn't have a power button?

A lot of drives shut themselves off after a little while if they are not accessed, or if they do not detect a link via USB/Firewire/eSATA. It doesn't hurt to leave the drive running. They're made to run for years continuously with little issue.

How Much Mobile Data do you Use a Month?

None, as I don't use any form of Wireless communications here. A person's bill/service wouldn't stand a chance if I used it due to the sheer amount of data I use. The data limit/overage charges might not stand true with some providers, but at least in the US, a 5GB Cap would be gone within the...

What type of CPU do you have?

I've got myself an Intel i7-920. It's currently watercooled and overclocked to 4.2Ghz. I disabled TurboBoost since there's no need for it with my high clock speeds, but I left SpeedStep enabled for those rare times where the system is idle. I built my PC myself, and designed the watercooling...

    PlayStation Network is still down

Funny part is, an IRC log between a few people actually revealed that the version of Apache their authentication servers were using (Apache?) had known (to the community) but undocumented (by Apache) exploits that were used to gain remote access to those servers. The fact that it was...

    PlayStation Network is still down

Saw that last night. It's a bummer they're being attacked, but it's something that could have been prevented if they weren't using outdated builds of RedHat and Apache (in the case of PSN) through the methods that are being used. I'm sure it's someone who's trying to frame Anonymous by stealing...
