You must remember that web hosts cannot always upgrade to the latest version as many accounts on the server may rely on features not available in the new versions.

This is also showing fine for me. Whenever adding domain, please make sure to add them as "addon" and not "parked." If you add the domain to your cPanel as a "parked" domain, it will just redirect to your main domain. Please let us know if your issue is resolved.

I agree with you, vBulletin just feels old. The ACP in vBulletin is very much phpBB-2 style. I loved IP.B since IP.B 2, and 3 is much better than 2. I just feel that IPS is much more innovative. (:
