I'm lost - linguistic barrier, I think. o_O Copyright infringiment = I take something who is not mine, put it on my site and have my visitors pay me for it, and I earn money from that.......???? :oops:

From what I gather and know, true copyright infringiment on a site is when you make money with it; I wasn't to, it was just an hobby site. But I understand your reasons completely; I'll host my site somewhere else. :)

I don't want to plagiarize or copy anything, but only to make a site for all those Disney fans who love the movies' villains like I do, where they can find more about those characters; it's a way to share the passion for Disney's animated worlds with fans around the world. And there are already...

Even if I put on the site a disclaimer saying "all characters, images and blah blah belong exclusively to Disney, copyrights infringiments are not voluntarily wanted, I make no money from this, etc." or similar?

Hello. :) I'm thinking about making a very small fan site on Disney villains; so far it's an idea, I've barely started collecting data. The site itself won't be a real fansite, more like a sort of database listing all the villains with some basic info/data and a couple of screenshots for each...

Sorry, I didn't mean that. :oops: It's just that there have already been mentions of widening and updating the countries list on the forum, and yet nothing has been changed in years. :banghead:

I don't know the other restrictions, but as for the countries ones....well, you can disagree all you want but that doesn't change the truth of the situation.

Don't count on the Country Restriction list to change; it's been that way for the last 2 years if not more and, even of they are now saying they'll widen the list, I see that as highly unlikely.

I agree with the whole discussion, but I have to reply to chewett: have you considered that people lie? Especially scammers who, knowing perfectly that what they do is illegal, perfected the "art"; they'll just say they need a site to host their photos and/or blog and, since you can't look at...

I admit my knowledge of the subject is very low, but I find it unbelievable that 188 countries show the same amount of high risk behavior at the same time of a certain period (whereas 8 countries never have that problem); how can you be so sure of that data?
