i think it has too much web 1.0. this means its very plain and doesn't have any real fancy graphics. try making it have gradients and such.

you need to make the colors more consistent, and stop popping text up when you rollover a image. this "scares" your users and makes them want to live in the cave again.

maybe you can make it into a tutorial or criticizing website. that criticizes the latest hardware and software maybe.

think you need to dim down the logo text and fix up the menu a bit to make it compliment other parts of the design and also, i think i see a big black spot on the right side of the website. try fixing that.
