I think people would start asking questions though if you started using a whole server disk. But anyway, it's an awesome achievement for X10, makes me glad I have stuck around so long.
When was the last time you visited the forums? If you don't visit once every 30 days your account is suspended for inactivity and will be terminated after one week if it isn't restored.
You have to remember that you are responsible for every file in your directory, so if you allow anonymous FTP then anyone can upload anything. If that anything is in breach of the ToS, then it is you who is responsible and you who will be suspended.
Not to mention that it would use huge amounts...
It would help if you explained why it is that you were suspended. Was it resource usage, inactivity etc?
Also, as with any website, if it is vital that the website is always up then free hosting is certainly not the place to be.
I do prefer the new design to the old one, however, the new design could do with a bit more text on the front page i.e. Game names that are always there instead of only on rollover.
To me, that first page just looks like a horrific mess of dissociated ads with a Google search box. I can't really understand why I would use your search over Google when you are only using Google yourself.
As to the ads, are they really bringing in that much profit? If not, you may consider...
Interesting. I never thought to use RAMdisks like that. Getting a pretty amazing read speed of 1100MB/sec.
Thanks for the tip.
Edit: Also, for Mac users, the path to enter in Firefox will be '/Volumes/name-of-ramdisk' instead of 'Z:\temp'
Oh, you do have to modify one line of the php.ini file of XAMPP for it to work with Drupal. I believe it is because XAMPP uses a newer version of PHP than MAMP where ereg() has become depreciated.
This was one of the reasons I moved from MAMP to XAMPP, I managed to mess up my directory, thanks for the fix.
Really? I've got it running on it recently.
For starters I think it should be:
/usr/local/bin/php -f /home/juicysvr/public_html/corn_j.php
Also, it looks like you misspelt cron as corn, so that could be another problem.
