I know that Dell still offer XP as an option with most of their systems. I very much doubt that XP will disappear for a while yet. Vista's only about 1 year old, and XP SP3 is still to be released.

I prefer Windows XP, Vista looks nice but you can easily customise XP's style. Also I think XP is more stable than Vista. I'm sure Vista will improve, but until it does I'll stick with XP. EDIT: Even if I wanted to I could not have Vista on my laptop, I just don't have enough resources.

I think they should have their own subforum and that posts made in this subforum should not count towards credits or post count. This way people can play these games but they are out of the way of users who don't like them. I haven't played any of these games, so I just find them a nuisance...

A simple example would be <?php include("/home/username/file/outside/of/public/domain.php"); ?> The "/" tells PHP to start from the root directory, instead of the current directory. Is that what you wanted to know?

I have MediaWiki installed and running so it is posible, but I have the Advanced PHP version. You could try to request an upgrade, and see if it will be accepted. Or you could try a different Wiki system (there are many out there including pmwiki, DokuWiki and WikkaWiki).

Which PHP level do you have (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced)? You can check by going to http://x10hosting.com/account I think Joomla requires Intermediate to work. If you have Basic PHP you can request an upgrade from the above URL.

Solar power. I think solar panels look nicer than wind turbines, and are completely silent. Also solar panels can work even if there isn't much light, whereas wind turbines do not work if there is no wind. I do not know which would be more efficient (or cheapest) in the long run.
