I was doing some research because I was tired of waiting 5 minutes to see what changes I made on my freelance website, and I found this " Header set Cache-Control "max-age=0, private, no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate" " I was told to put that in the .htaccess file.

And how do I do that, just create a file named ".htaccess" ?

That's what I am trying to figure out. I have been looking, googling, reading the forums, but they say the same thing "check a box and it will work." I do not have a box to check, and if I do not have that file, how do I get it/what do I do, and can I create it myself??

I have logged out, logged back in. Looked for the "show hidden files" and I cannot find anything. All I see is .htpasswds. What am I doing wrong???
