depends on your actual needs , ubuntu has lots of cool features , but my personal favorite for servers is Fedora. Though I like Ubuntu , you can actually install it in Windows as well as fedora though.

yup i agree , applications from windows vista should work with windows 7 , for now I am happy with windows 7

4GB of RAM , I am planning to upgrade to 8GB but then there was a post on the net that shows 8GB of RAM does not really make much difference.

you can sign up for affiliates www.cj.com, place their ads to your sites and advertise them through craigslists.

you can try driving users to your website through content, if your site has greate content , then you can place ads to your sites which can generate revenue ... just a thought. content is king :)

I got 4GB of RAM both at home PC and Laptop for work , the home PC that i have is on DDR2-667 , though I have read somewhere that you really don't need to go higher than 4GB since its overkill, i dunno if this is true or not, anyone wants to comment ? please feel free :)
