    Nvidia v.s. ATI

Physical appearance? Unless you have a clear case, that shouldn't even matter. Anyways, you shouldn't feel bad about choosing ATI, there cards are good. What GPU did you buy anyways (as in the model)?

    mainboard suggestion

Well, is the processor still intact? If so, what is it? You can't just buy any motherboard. Also, I hope you are talking about a desktop, because for a laptop you might as well buy a new one. Just a little more information would help.

    Building a computer

One important thing to consider is that system builders save big on copies of Windows. For example, on Newegg, right now Windows Vista Ultimate costs $267.49. If you are building and get an OEM copy, however, it only costs $179.99! Also, you can still get an OEM copy of Windows XP Professional...

    Nvidia v.s. ATI

Consider, however, the fact that Nvidia now has their Geforce 9000 series out. It's nice to see that both companies are moving forward though.

    Google's obsession with beta

Indeed, what Google has here is the concept of a perpetual beta, a product that is always being improved and is never truly feature-complete. Wikipedia has an article about it here.

    Nvidia v.s. ATI

There are a number of games that run on Linux, such as Quake 4 (natively). Wine allows some games to be played that are made for Windows even (such as Half-Life 2). In the end, what I was saying is more that I dual-boot, and it is better to have a graphics card that works in both operating...

    Advertising Opportunities/Prize Donors Needed

I think what he's trying to say is that you give the prize to them for free in return for the traffic you get from the contest.

Which hotmail email domain is better

It seems to me that @live.com addresses sound a lot more professional. Everyone knows that @hotmail.com is your basic generic email address, and @msn.com is quite obvious as well. With @live.com at least it seems somewhat original.

    Battle of the Browsers

I like Firefox 3 the best. Chrome has introduced many innovative features such as each tab having its own process (so that if one crashes the entire browser does not). Also, Opera has been coming up with some new features such as favorites synchronization across devices (which is available in...

    NTFS vs FAT

FAT32 was meant for small drives. If you have a really small drive (or want a partition to share files between Windows and Linux), then FAT32 is definitely superior. Otherwise NTFS, as others have pointed out, is better. For Linux, ext3 and ext4 rule.

    New Macbooks

Indeed, the new MacBooks have a Geforce 9400M compared to Intel integrated graphics. This is clearly vastly superior for gaming. It seems to me that Apple might be starting to focus on gaming in its personal products. Steve Jobs seemed to push the 2nd generation iPod Touch as a gaming platform...

Fennec, mobile version of Firefox, goes Alpha

I did a blog post on this recently. Mozilla has been working on a mobile version of Firefox for a while now. They are committed to making sure that is is completely ready before releasing it to the general public. They don't want a half-baked product. For those who do use Fennec, you should be...

    Intel or AMD

I read this a lot, and I can understand where this comes from. However, due to the differences between the way Intel and AMD processors are designed, a higher L2 cache in the Intel chip does not always mean it is superior. At any rate, AMD seems to offer more power for the price. If you want a...

    Nvidia v.s. ATI

Personally, I prefer Nvidia graphics cards because they are indeed top-of-the-line. Plus they have had a better history of working with Linux than ATI cards, although now that ATI has been bought up my AMD they are providing better Linux drivers sooner for their products. As far as CROSSFIRE...
