My Win7 boots up in less than 40 seconds from cold boot. At idle, it uses 750MB of 4GB RAM (that is with Aero theme activated), and uses 0%...

Well played, however I wouldn't quickly dismiss Windows like that. Sure there were past problems with Microsoft OS, but if you have ever used Windows 7 you can't deny the fact that it's the best OS Microsoft has produced. Are you going to so quickly dismiss Linux, when its market share grows...
