Yes the x10 servers run on linux, and no you can't run gaming servers on the hosting here (unless of course the game is php/mysql based). If you need to host a gaming server I suggest a dedicated server that allows direct access to it.

Also make sure the air intake spots on the laptop aren't blocked or clogged with dust bunnies. Your laptop, when on flat surface like a table, should be sitting above the surface to the point where you can completely see under it if you look eye level. If something is blocked the air intake...
