    Verified By Visa

Agreed. I view it more as an opportunity for a financial institutions to wiggle out in cases of fraud, leaving the victim holding the bag than an initiative to safeguard security on the consumer's end.

Why Do Teacher's Get sTRESSED OUT

Teachers don't get stressed looked through all this. They get amused (if not laugh), then fail the student (if he/she merits that grade anyway).

Man Charged $23 Quadrillion for Cigarettes

$23 Quadrillion? Hmm, there were several large countries I wanted to buy... Depending on where the news was sourced from (because it seems like this error affected those using Visa debit products - e.g.: Visa Buxx), there was a lot of variations of what the individuals purchased, where they...

    Follow x10Hosting on Twitter

Well, maybe we'll catch a slipup: "x1Ohosting needs funds immediately or no more free hosting for the masses! Please donate! Western Union ONLY!" :P

    Verified By Visa

I quite agree that Verified by Visa and Mastercard SecureCode is simply bothersome (yet another PIN to remember) and a not-so-subtle attempt at shifting liabilities to the consumer (Well, whoever used the card knew the PIN, so it must've been you or someone you gave permission to. And no, our...

    Oh Yea :)

Congrats! Beware of your fellow Mass. drivers though. YMMV, but I find that Massachusetts and Florida drivers in general to be among the worst drivers out there. Of course, they're no competition for NYC yellow cab drivers, but you get the idea.

    Do you watch anime?

I generally don't watch anime, unless I see it incidentally while with my friends or when I'm in Korea.

    The smallest USB stick

Up until 2 years ago, I was still using a 3.5" floppy disk for small files (CD-RWs for mid sized files and ethernet connection for large files). A little less than 2 years ago, I've got a 1 gig flash drive. And that's the smallest USB flash drive that I've ever possessed.

How are you guys holding up with our economic troubles?

Well, assuming I pass all my classes, I'm set to graduate in two years with a BA in Chemistry and MA in Adolescent Education. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Bloomberg and Paterson won't make New York City and New York State respectively as a rich man's paradise. Dang it, they're...

How much you spend on Internet?

1.5/384 uncapped for USD 29.95/mo. For the amount I'm paying, I should be getting double the speed (3 Mbps / 768). But alas, I live in an area with the distance limitations inherent to ADSL kicks in. I hear that Verizon is raising the minimum speed for their cheapest plan, which would match...

    Terrorist attack in mumbai

Yes, I've been following it on the newspapers here (personally, I'm not much of a fan for TV news coverage) It really is a nasty turn of events. To me, it really makes the 9/11/01 World Trade Center / Pentagon attacks, Spanish rail and London tube bombing attacks look tame in comparison...

    California Fires

Sorry to hear about you guys suffering over there. --- I suppose it might be easier for me to say this since I live in a place which hasn't experienced serious natural disasters lately (though technically, I hear that our city is not immune from catastrophic flooding; if it does happen, the...

Watch me tear down other webhosts

Personally, I never had much of a problem with my previous web hosts. I only had to move because they were discontinuing free webhosting or because their new policies became too restrictive or difficult to maintain. So far, X10 is fairly stable for me. Except, I'm a tad bit too busy with class...

IE 8 beta 2, wow I feel in love... Again

Been using Internet Explorer since version 3 and Firefox since 0.6 beta. Why does Microsoft need to take a beating before they feel incentivized to catch up to the competition?
